BitPay will clear the payments over the bitcoin peer-to-peer payment network and post the balance to the merchant accounting ledger, according to the merchant preference settings.
Merchants can receive settlement in their local currency with a guaranteed exchange rate, or keep the bitcoins, or a percentage split.
If you choose to keep bitcoin, BitPay will forward your bitcoins to your wallet address on file.
If you choose to receive settlement in your local currency, BitPay will sweep a direct deposit to your bank account every business day to clear out your accumulated balance.
Direct Bank Settlement is offered for no additional charge.
Settlement in USD is only available via ACH to banks in the USA, and will appear in your bank account after one business day.
Settlement in CAD is only available via EFT to banks in Canada, and will appear in your bank account after one business day.
Settlement in EUR is only available via SEPA transfer to the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and will appear in your bank account after one business day.
